Computop, eShopWorld in strategic alliance.

Computop, a leading payment service provider (PSP), and eShopWorld, a dynamic company of ecommerce, software, technical and logistics experts, today announced a strategic global partnership to offer customers integrated ecommerce, logistics and secure payments across over 52 countries worldwide. With eShopWorld, consumers across Asia, Europe and the USA are now able to shop globally but pay locally, using their own currency to make online purchases. Computop offers the widest choice of available payment options and unparalleled transaction security, whilst eShopWorld assumes full responsibility for tax & duty calculation, customs clearance, delivery, and returns globally. This combined service will enable retailers to manage the complexities of localising online sales to international customers.

The service will provide multiple solutions for international payments, including Alipay and Paypal, plus a whole host of other popular domestic payment methods, 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode). It will also offer protection from international credit card fraud.

Stephen Berry, country manager for Computop UK commented, “The biggest challenges merchants face in relation to international expansion is the complexity of tax and duty calculations, local payment processing, logistics and returns management. This partnership means that all of these challenges are dealt with in one place, offering a seamless customer experience for merchants.”

Martin Tully, chief operations officer for eShopWorld said, “The partnership brings together the proven solutions for both international payment methods and cross border ecommerce solutions to provide new international e-tailers with a greatly reduced time to market, in one seamless package.“
