Ireland’s fastest growing tech company predicts further growth

Tuesday, 14th June 2016: Irish owned eShopWorld, a leader in Global eCommerce and Logistics Management, has announced the creation of over 60 jobs in 2016, representing a phenomenal growth in staff numbers of 550% in just two years.

eShopWorld was ranked Ireland’s fastest growing technology company by Deloitte in 2015, and more recently was named Vertical Market Specialist of the Year at the Tech Excellence Awards. eShopWorld offers a localised international shopping experience designed to benefit both the shopper and the online retailer.

The company started out in 2010 with a team of just 6 people, operating in 27 EU markets from a small office in Dublin. It has experienced exponential growth, now serving more than 200 countries across the globe and employing over 100 staff.

eShopWorld offers technology and logistics management solutions, enabling the world’s top brands grow international sales by offering a localised online shopping experience. eShopWorld’s customers include the world’s most iconic sports, fashion and lingerie brands.

Retailers get fast, seamless entry into international consumer markets, and shoppers get direct access to their favourite global fashion brands, through a localised version of the retailer’s website. eShopWorld localises the shopping experience by displaying product prices in the shopper’s local currency, calculating local duties and taxes, and providing local payment methods in each market. In addition, the delivery, returns and customer service experience is second to none.

Speaking of the latest jobs announcement, Tommy Kelly, CEO of eShopWorld commented,

“I am thrilled today to be announcing the creation of 60 new jobs, having set out only six years ago as a small specialised team in Dublin. It really is such an achievement to have come so far. Our success is down to the tireless efforts and dedication of an exceptional group of people who have gone above and beyond to make it happen.”

“The demand for global eCommerce solutions has really taken off and it is a very exciting journey to be on. This is down to increasing worldwide appetite for online access to the most popular global brands. International shoppers expect to be able to shop directly from their favourite retailers, and get the same experience as a domestic shopper. That’s the gap that we close.”

“The next 18 months promises to be an exciting time for us, and I look forward to making further announcements around a number of projects that are in development as the company continues to grow.”

The newly created vacancies that will be filled in the next six months are in the areas of technology and support services, and are based across each of the company’s offices in Dublin, Newry, Amsterdam and the US.
