ESW Madrid Hackathon 2026: Where Innovation Meets Collaboration
At ESW, innovation is something we heavily invest in. The ESW Madrid Hackathon 2026 showcased how we bring together talented people, leading technology partners, and a culture of continuous learning to solve real business challenges and shape the future of ecommerce.
The Hackathon brought together 36 colleagues to tackle seven business challenges, collaborating across teams to explore practical applications of technology and AI. More than a competition, it allowed our people to turn ideas into solutions with the potential to become future business initiatives. The experience extended far beyond the Hackathon itself through a wider program designed to inspire learning and collaboration across the organisation.
Turning Ideas into Impact
Working alongside Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Thoughtworks, ESW hosted four AI learning sessions. These sessions gave our people direct access to industry experts while demonstrating how AI can create meaningful impact across every function. Employees also stepped outside their day-to-day roles through three AI-themed Escape Room challenges, combining teamwork, problem-solving, and fun, alongside networking lunches that strengthened connections across teams. The initiative also brought our Madrid and Dublin offices closer together, with leaders actively supporting a shared culture of innovation.
